How the calculator works

The OnlyFans Income Calculator combines four revenue streams against the platform's standard 80/20 split, then matches your monthly take against the published creator income distribution to assign a percentile rank. Here's the math, in order:

  1. Subscription revenue = active subscribers × monthly price. This is the most stable revenue stream and the floor of your earnings.
  2. Pay-per-view (PPV) revenue is entered directly as a monthly total. Industry data shows PPV typically contributes 30% of creator gross revenue when normalized across the platform.
  3. Tips are entered as a monthly total. Tips are roughly 15% of total platform creator earnings.
  4. Paid DM messages account for the remaining ~5% of platform-wide creator revenue, but skew much higher for top performers who do paid sexting.
  5. Gross fan payments = subscription + PPV + tips + DM.
  6. Creator share = gross × 0.80 (OnlyFans's flat 20% platform fee).
  7. After processing fees ≈ creator share × 0.97 (typical card-processing + currency conversion deductions).
  8. After-tax = (creator share after processing) × (1 − tax rate). Self-employment tax + state + federal lands US creators in the 25-40% range.

Percentile calculation

Your monthly figure is converted to annual and matched against the OnlyFans creator income distribution from the Fenix International Ltd FY2024 audited filings, cross-checked with creator-panel surveys from three independent agencies. Published breakpoints:

PercentileAnnual USDMonthly USDNotes
Top 0.1%$735,000+$61,250+Celebrity-tier — ~15× the top-1% figure
Top 1%$49,000+$4,083+Public reporting tier (Fenix filings)
Top 10%$5,200+$433+Decile — agency panel derived
Top 25%$1,050+$87.50+Quartile
Median (50%)$180$15Half of creators earn less than this
Bottom 50%~$50~$4Long-tail, often dormant accounts

Between published breakpoints we use log-linear interpolation, which is the standard approach for heavily-skewed creator-economy distributions. Real percentile may vary by a few points either way.

Niche benchmarks

Niche multipliers are sourced from agency creator-management firms and self-reported panel data. They are directional, not authoritative — the top creator in any niche can earn 50× their niche median.

Niche Median monthly gross Top-decile monthly gross Notes
Couples $800–$4,000 $15,000–$40,000 Highest-earning organic niche. Partner dynamic doubles addressable audience.
Adult / intimate $400–$1,200 $12,000–$25,000 Largest by creator count (~60% of creators sit here).
Fitness $300–$900 $8,000–$15,000 Top fitness earners hit ~$8M in 2023. Steeper power law than platform avg.
Cosplay $200–$1,500 $5,000–$50,000 Highly bimodal. East-Asia variants tend higher. Belle Delphine tier $1M+/mo at peak.
Amateur $150–$600 $2,000–$8,000 Largest by total count, lowest by average. Heavy long-tail dormancy.
Celebrity / influencer $50,000–$500,000 $1M–$9.5M Median is far above platform avg — celebs only join with established audiences.

Proprietary indices explained

Beyond raw dollars, the calculator outputs four branded indices that benchmark your account against the platform and your niche peers. These are designed to be screenshot-friendly and citation-ready.

Creator Velocity Index™ (CVI)

A 0–100 score combining your gross revenue relative to your niche median, weighted by your posting cadence. CVI >50 means you're outperforming the typical creator in your niche. CVI >80 indicates top-decile velocity.

Niche Position Index™ (NPI)

Your percentile within your niche (0–100). NPI 72 means you earn more than 72% of creators in your chosen niche. The NPI is more relevant for strategic comparison than your overall percentile, because cosplay's ceiling is different from amateur's ceiling.

Revenue Mix Score™ (RMS)

A 0–100 score measuring how balanced your revenue streams are. Creators with 90% of income from subs are fragile to churn; creators with 60% subs + 25% PPV + 15% tips/DM survive subscription dips and outperform on PPV drops too. High RMS = anti-fragile income.

Engagement Signal™ (ES)

Your weekly post cadence. Industry benchmark for sustainable growth is 5–10 posts per week. Below 3 = churn risk. Above 15 = potentially diluting per-post engagement. The "sweet spot" for retention is 7±2.

Important caveats

  • This is an estimate, not a guarantee. The OnlyFans creator economy is heavily power-law distributed. Individual results vary by 5-10×.
  • Per-post engagement isn't modeled here. A creator with 100 high-converting subs can outperform one with 500 dormant subs at the same listed price.
  • Tax estimates are rough. Self-employment + state + federal for US creators is typically 25-40%. EU creators often see 20-50% depending on VAT and country.
