OnlyFans Switzerland — TL;DR
- ~0.5–0.6% estimated share of global traffic (June-2026 rescale)
- ~$31–44M estimated fan spending from Switzerland in 2025
- ~1.9–2.3M derived cumulative user accounts
- Higher per-capita spend than the DACH average (purchasing-power effect)
- The platform publishes no Switzerland-specific data — all figures are derived estimates
Switzerland in the DACH context
Neither OnlyFans nor Similarweb reports Switzerland as a separate line item — the country sits in the long tail below the individually listed markets. A plausible estimate therefore combines population scaling with the Swiss purchasing-power premium.
Swiss population: 8.8 million. In Similarweb's June 2026 panel (360.2M global visits, site rank #87), Germany accounts for 5.67% of global traffic — the #2 country worldwide, up from 4.53% and #4 in December 2025. Pure population scaling relative to Germany (84 million) would put Switzerland at roughly 0.5–0.6% of global traffic. On per-capita spend, however, Switzerland sits above the DACH average — up to 1.3–1.5× the German level depending on the measure. Note that the Swiss audience is multilingual: the German-speaking majority is complemented by French-speaking Romandie and Italian-speaking Ticino.
Estimated figures for Switzerland
| Metric | Switzerland (estimated) | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Share of global traffic | ~0.5–0.6% | Population scaling from the June-2026 DE baseline (5.67%) |
| Cumulative user accounts | ~1.9–2.3M | 0.5–0.6% × 377.5M global accounts |
| Estimated MAU | ~0.95–1.15M | ~50% account activity |
| Fan spending 2025 | ~$31–44M | Proportional rescale of DE $237M (Sensor Tower), incl. purchasing-power premium |
| Per-capita spend (per active fan) | ~$30–45 / year | Spend estimate ÷ estimated MAU; ~1.3–1.6× the German level |
Note: all values are derived, not directly measured. Error bars ±20–30%. Rescaled July 2026 from the Similarweb June-2026 Germany baseline (5.67% of global traffic).
Purchasing-power effect
Switzerland has one of the highest levels of disposable per-capita income in the world. On subscription platforms this shows up as:
- Higher conversion rates into premium tiers (top-of-funnel to paid)
- Higher pay-per-view willingness — Swiss fans buy PPV items in the $10–20 range more frequently.
- Longer subscription tenure — lower churn rates than the DACH average.
The net effect: even where the traffic share sits at or below the pure population ratio, the spend share lands at or slightly above the proportional expectation.
Swiss creators
OnlyFans admits creators from Switzerland without restriction. Payouts are made via SEPA (in EUR) or SWIFT (in CHF). Swiss creators are subject to:
- Income tax (federal + cantonal + municipal): progressive, with top rates of 22–45% depending on the canton of residence. OnlyFans income counts as earned income.
- Value-added tax (MWST): 8.1% standard rate above CHF 100k annual revenue.
- AHV/IV/EO contributions: mandatory under self-employed status.
- Withholding-tax exposure: special rules apply for non-Swiss subscribers depending on the applicable double-taxation treaty.
Regulatory environment
Switzerland is not an EU member and does not automatically adopt the EU's AVMSD/DSA framework. Instead:
- Federal Act on Radio and Television (RTVG): applies indirectly; media oversight sits with BAKOM, the Federal Office of Communications.
- Youth-protection rules: age verification is required for adult content; OnlyFans satisfies this via its global ID verification.
- Data protection (revDSG, similar to the GDPR): in force since September 2023.
- Tax treatment: the Swiss tax authorities distinguish clearly between private and commercial platform income.
Share of the total DACH market
Estimated DACH distribution, rebased on the Similarweb June-2026 panel (Germany 5.67% of global traffic; December 2025 for comparison: 4.53%). Austria and Switzerland are proportional rescales from the German baseline:
| Country | Share of global traffic | 2025 spend |
|---|---|---|
| Germany | 5.67% (Jun 2026) | $237M (Sensor Tower) |
| Austria | ~0.75–1.0% (est.) | ~$38–50M (est.) |
| Switzerland | ~0.5–0.6% (est.) | ~$31–44M (est.) |
| DACH total | ~6.9–7.3% | ~$306–331M |
