Niche earnings TL;DR
- Couples — highest typical earnings ($800–$4,000/mo median, top decile $15K–$40K/mo)
- Cosplay — widest spread: $200–$1,500 median, but elite cosplay creators (Belle Delphine tier) hit $1M+/month at peak
- Fitness — steeper power law than platform: top 2% capture ~80% of category revenue
- Amateur — largest by creator count, lowest by average; heavy long-tail dormancy
- Celebrity — only joins with audience already in hand; median 100× the platform mean
- Source caveat — Fenix International doesn't publish per-niche figures. All ranges below are agency-derived or press-cited, with explicit source flagging on every row
Why per-niche data is hard to find
Fenix International publishes one big aggregate ($5.80B in creator payouts in 2024) but does not break it down by content category. There's no official "couples vs fitness vs cosplay" disclosure. What we have are three weaker but usable evidence layers:
- Agency benchmarking guides. OnlyFans-focused talent agencies survey their own creator rosters and publish niche averages. Sample size in the hundreds-to-low-thousands per agency. Multiple independent agencies converging on similar ranges = signal.
- Creator-tool surveys. Subscription analytics platforms (Supercreator, Virlo, OFM Tools) publish aggregate niche figures from their user bases. Self-selected sample, but useful for relative comparisons.
- Press-cited individual figures. Forbes, Variety, podcast interviews capture peak earnings for celebrity creators by name. These are point estimates, not distributions.
The honest answer to "what does a typical fitness creator earn?" is: the published ranges are real, but the underlying samples are small enough that any single-source figure should be read with $\pm 30\%$ uncertainty. Triangulation (which we do below) is the right approach.
Couples
Median monthly: $800–$4,000. Top decile: $15K–$40K. Couples content consistently ranks as the highest-earning niche in agency surveys. Two structural reasons: the partner dynamic doubles the addressable audience (subscribers attracted to either partner), and tip frequency runs roughly 1.5× the platform mean. Repeat-tipper rate is also higher than solo categories.

Adult / intimate (mainstream)
Median monthly: $400–$1,200. Top decile: $12K–$25K. The largest niche by raw creator count — estimates put roughly 60% of all registered OnlyFans creators in this category. The category mean from creator-tool surveys is consistently in the $1,200/month range, but as with the platform overall, the median sits well below: dormant accounts pull the mean up.

Fitness
Median monthly: $300–$900 (female creators). Top decile: $8K–$15K. The fitness niche has a famously steep distribution: top 2% of fitness creators reportedly capture roughly 80% of the category's revenue (vs. roughly top 10% capturing 73% on the platform overall). The top fitness earner reportedly hit ~$8M for the year in 2023. Below the top tier, fitness creators average $50–$900/month depending on crossover with mainstream-fitness audiences (Instagram followings, YouTube channels).

Cosplay
Median monthly: $200–$1,500. Top decile: $5K–$50K. Cosplay is the most bimodal niche on the platform. The bottom 80% of cosplay creators average around $700/month based on agency surveys. But a handful of elite cosplay creators — Belle Delphine, Jenna Lynn Meowri, and a small set of cosplay-meets-meme-marketing creators — reach $1M+/month at peak. The Japan/East Asia variant of the niche tends higher on the median ($1,500/month) due to a tighter cultural fit between cosplay and adult-content consumption.

Amateur
Median monthly: $150–$600. Top decile: $2K–$8K. Amateur content (or "no-niche" / generalist) is the largest by total creator count and the lowest by average earnings. Most accounts in this category are dormant or sub-active. The realistic comparison: if you create a generalist OnlyFans without a distinct niche or audience, the modal outcome is fewer than 10 paid subscribers and under $200/month.

Celebrity / influencer crossover
Median monthly: $50K–$500K. Top decile: $1M–$9.5M+. Celebrity creators only join with an audience already in hand — this is selection bias, not category economics. The "median celebrity" earns more in their first month than 99.9% of platform creators do in a year. See top earners for the named-creator list with sources.

How to read these numbers honestly
- "Median" is the niche's typical-creator outcome. Half earn less, half earn more, after excluding inactive accounts.
- "Top decile" is the niche's top 10% sustained earner. Not the one-off launch peak.
- The gap between median and top decile tells you how steep the power law is. Cosplay's gap is >100×; couples is closer to 10×.
- Niche choice is downstream of audience, not the other way around. The biggest predictor of earnings isn't which niche you pick — it's how much audience you bring with you.
